Third
of three models using marbles, and I think the weakest. For some reason I am
not a fan of this bird, which I started with the head and then moved onto the
body. Maybe because the foot feel rushed, who knows!
After a year of creating models, one a day, in 2012, I, Tom Cockram, have decided to continue my mission of model making. Not just creating models, but also making animations and developing new ideas and concepts.

Day 91 - Two Heads Are Totally Better Then One!
After
seeing how well the marbles worked as body fillers, I found myself trying it
out on two different models. Today’s is the first, and I think by far my
favourite model so far in this project. I loved designing the heads and fat
ripple that formed when pushing two of the marbles together.
Day 90 - Great Teeth!
Of late I have been to the dentist a lot, and had to have 4
fillings, so I decided to create a little tooth to celebrate the fact! Plus Mel
gave me the idea.
Day 86 - Head Week Starts
For
the next few days I will concentrate on heads, not sure why just fancy it! So
here is the first, who happens to have a massive nose!
P.s. re-looking at this side view the head looks a little rude!! Which was not meant!!
Day 85 - What Was I Thinking!!
Today is my second stab at recreating the pictures that I
drew at a young age. The nightmares I had.
Day 84 - Ted is Back, and Bigger then Ever!
As
I go about the long and tiresome process of animation, I have decided to use
day 4’s model (also known as Ted) as the main character in my first short film.
For that Ted needed an up scale!
Day 83 - Blue Marble Monster!
This is my first model to use an inner skeleton that is not a metal frame, but a solid shape instead. I decided to use marbles of different sizes, and on this model it seems to have worked well. The model turned out better than I could have hoped for.
Day 82 - Hop and a Jump
Like yesterday’s model todays is also uncompleted but for good reason. I was worried that if I did add any more details it would ruin my lovely Kangaroo.
Day 81 - Nothing Gets Wasted!!
This
unfinished little guy was an experiment using only left over parts of clay
so nothing would go to waste. I like him so much I may have to create a bigger
finished version at some point.
Day 79 - Classic Death, How Else?!
Day 78 - Blue As The Sea
Day 77 - Sand Terrors or Silly Monsters?
After
seeing my niece playing in a sand pit, I have decided to create a short film
about a little demon that is trying to escape the pit but a little someone may
make it hard to do so!

Day 76 - Bald is the New Look!
Maybe my closest to a Nick Park look so far, this thug turned out better then I first thought he would.
I seem to have a thing about bald heads, not sure why? Maybe I just cannot be bothered to model hair styles!
Day 75 - I Was One Weird Child!
As a child I drew in a very strange way, dark figures with the word death written everywhere, so with the clay I have tried to recreate one of these images. I must have been such a strange child.

Day 70 - Time for Less Monsters and More Animals!
Friday, 20 April 2012
Day 69 - Well Poke Me in the Eye!
Day 68 - ARRR PIRATES, Well One Pirate!
To celebrate the new Aardman flick, “Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists”, I decided to create my very own Pirate!

Look he even has a bottle of rum and a cutlass!
