Day 129 to 130 - Clay Covers

One thing I have been very keen to have ago at creating in clay form is book covers. A strange idea I know, but I love the look of flat characters and 2D covers are a good place to start. And I decided to have ago at 2 of my more favourite designs.

The first is a book I read as a child and the images made by Quentin Blake have always stuck in my mind, the Grand High Witch from the witches I felt was a great starting point.

The second is a more recent character of fiction from the brilliant mind of Bryan Lee O’Malley, who was just yelling for the clay treatment!

1. Red Cat Wonders if he Stuffed to Much into his Belly!

Day 1 and I have decided to start it off with my new friend Red Cat and as you can see it has been a heavy Christmas for him, you know eating yummy treats and watching such holiday classics as “An America Tail” wishing the cats would win just once!! Red Cat and I have decided to go on a diet, our New Year Resolution, lets see how far that goes, Ha!
